• Benton County restaurant inspections: Lack of vent hood has employees working under probationary fire chief approval (nwaonline.com) — Bella Vista diners may want to note that Las Fajitas and Purrfect Brews both received recent Benton County health inspections, with relatively minor issues like labeling, sanitizer levels, and test strips. The county report also highlights Nana D’s in Gravette operating without a vent hood under probationary fire approval, plus many other nearby restaurants’ violations and a Bella Vista spot with a clean record. 
• Benton County marriage licenses issued April 30 (arkansasonline.com) — Several Bella Vista residents are among the couples who recently applied for marriage licenses recorded April 30 through May 6 at the Benton County Clerk’s Office. The list includes local pairs where both partners live in Bella Vista, as well as others where one partner is from Bella Vista and the other from nearby towns across Northwest Arkansas and neighboring states.
• Coal Miners' Gravel a big hit (morningsun.net) — Bella Vista cyclists made a strong showing at the Coal Miners’ Gravel rides in Frontenac, Kansas, with locals Roman Barrett and Paige Onweller winning their respective distances and John Matthews taking second in the 100-mile race. The event drew more than 200 riders from across the region and may expand with additional rides and family activities in future years.
