The Benton Area Chamber’s holiday market offers general admission, private shopping sessions, and a Girls’ Night Out, all aimed at supporting small businesses while kicking off the Christmas season. 
• ‘It's just amazing,' Benton community raising money for young girl battling cancer (kark.com) — Neighbors in Benton’s Hurricane Lake Estates have once again turned their annual Trail of Lights display into a powerful fundraiser, this year rallying around 10-year-old Ember Harguess as she battles neuroblastoma. Residents decorated their homes and raised $2,356 to help her family with treatment costs as Ember continues chemotherapy and prepares for radiation in Texas.
