Here are the top stories in Bentonville today:

1. Moosejaw is putting the final touches on its new retail location at 111 S. Main St. in Bentonville. The outdoor outfitter will open to the public on Thursday, Oct. 21, with a grand opening planned for Oct. 29-30. Moosejaw is adding 30 jobs at the location just two blocks from the downtown square. Moosejaw was acquired by Walmart in 2017 and the store caters to outdoor enthusiasts. (talkbusiness.net)
2. The Bentonville Film Festival Foundation set the date for the eighth annual Bentonville Film Festival. The in-person festival runs June 22-26, 2022, and will continue virtually through July 3, 2022. While the festival is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the nonprofit, Director of Programming Ashley Edwards encourages filmmakers to get involved year-round. (KNWA)
3. Benton County's justices of the peace went back to the starting line in an effort to provide more than $100,000 for the Northwest Arkansas Council for its efforts against COVID-19.
   Justices of the peace met Tuesday night in a special meeting called by County Judge Barry Moehring. The only item on the agenda was the issue of an ordinance providing $113,000 to the council for public information and vaccination clinics. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
4. A few downtown streets will be temporarily closed midafternoon for Bentonville Public Library's OZ Kids® Fat Tire Criterium & Fall Fest. The event will take place on the city block south of 405 South Main Street, adjacent to Bentonville Public Library. (Press Release Desk)
