Man reportedly allowed dog to attack Bentonville police officer while being placed into custody (nwahomepage.com) — A man is jailed on felony and misdemeanor charges after police say his dog repeatedly bit a Bentonville officer's leg during a struggle at the Links at Bentonville apartments. Officers report tasing the aggressive dog before taking the suspect into custody; he's being held on $50,000 bond and is due in Benton County Circuit Court in October.

Bentonville man killed in one-vehicle accident over the weekend (nwahomepage.com) — A 41-year-old Bentonville resident died after losing control of his car on Pumpkin Hollow Road and striking a concrete support under the I-49 overpass in northern Bentonville. The crash happened Saturday evening in clear, dry conditions, and the Benton County Sheriff's Office is investigating after he later died at a nearby hospital.

5. 130 jobs for Conway as Structurlam selects city for its first U.S. plant (kark.com) — Walmart's new home office campus in Bentonville will use more than 1.1 million cubic feet of Arkansas-grown mass timber supplied by a new Structurlam plant in Conway. The $90 million facility will create 130 jobs and deepen ties between Walmart, Arkansas timber producers, and sustainable construction across the state.
