Man reportedly allowed dog to attack Bentonville police officer while being placed into custody (nwahomepage.com) — A man is jailed on felony and misdemeanor charges after police say his dog repeatedly bit a Bentonville officer's leg during a struggle at the Links at Bentonville apartments. Officers report tasing the aggressive dog before taking the suspect into custody; he's being held on $50,000 bond and is due in Benton County Circuit Court in October.
   

2. Bentonville man killed in one-vehicle accident over the weekend (nwahomepage.com) — A 41-year-old Bentonville resident died after losing control of his car on Pumpkin Hollow Road and striking a concrete support under the I-49 overpass in northern Bentonville. The crash happened Saturday evening in clear, dry conditions, and the Benton County Sheriff's Office is investigating after he later died at a nearby hospital.
   

3. Going back to school as a single parent? Help with college costs is available in NWA (4029tv.com) — Single parents in Bentonville and across Northwest Arkansas can now apply for spring scholarships from the Bentonville-based Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA, with average awards around $2,500. Serving Benton, Carroll, Madison and Washington counties, the program helps cover education-related and living expenses, with applications due Oct. 15 for eligible parents who complete FAFSA.
   

4. Walmart Expands Restaurant Delivery with Dunkin' (perishablenews.com) — From its Bentonville headquarters, Walmart is rolling out a new partnership with Dunkin' that lets customers order coffee and meals alongside groceries through the Walmart app. The service starts with 150 in-store Dunkin' locations and will expand to thousands more nationwide, potentially changing how Bentonville shoppers combine errands and food delivery.
   

5. 130 jobs for Conway as Structurlam selects city for its first U.S. plant (kark.com) — Walmart's new home office campus in Bentonville will use more than 1.1 million cubic feet of Arkansas-grown mass timber supplied by a new Structurlam plant in Conway. The $90 million facility will create 130 jobs and deepen ties between Walmart, Arkansas timber producers, and sustainable construction across the state.
