Numerous Northwest Arkansas high schools land high in U.S. News rankings, with Haas Hall Bentonville top in state again (arkansasonline.com) — Bentonville families just got big news: Haas Hall Academy's Bentonville campus is ranked the top public high school in Arkansas and fourth-best charter school in the nation. Bentonville High and Bentonville West also made the state's top 10, underscoring Northwest Arkansas' strong showing in new U.S. News & World Report rankings. 
2. Bentonville Planning Commission approves site plan for new Walton STEM university (5newsonline.com) — Bentonville's Planning Commission has unanimously cleared the way for a new Walton-backed STEM university, approving its full campus development plan this week. The three-building campus, designed by the firm behind Crystal Bridges and the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine, is slated to open to its first tuition-free class in 2029, pending remaining development approvals.
3. Photos: Chemung Co. team takes part in youth shooting championship (the-leader.com) — Bentonville recently hosted the NRA Youth Hunter Education Challenge national championship, drawing youth shooting teams like Sullivan's Sharp Shooters from Chemung County, New York. Local ranges and fields here served as the backdrop for .22-caliber rifle, archery, and shotgun events, where competitors practiced flu-flu arrows, clay targets, and more during a multi-day national gathering.
4. Marshallese Leaders Call Attention to Language Barriers, Community Needs (4029tv.com) — Bentonville hosted a panel at Crystal Bridges spotlighting Marshallese culture and the language barriers many Marshallese residents still face in Arkansas. Local leaders and one of the nation's few Marshallese physicians shared why more interpreters, better understanding of Marshallese history, and stronger community support are critical for Northwest Arkansas' growing islander community.
5. Elon Musk's company's lawsuit blames Bentonville photographer for sexualizing images using AI took Grok (nwaonline.com) — A Bentonville-based photographer is being sued in federal court by Elon Musk's xAI, which alleges he used the Grok AI system to generate illegal sexual images of children in violation of its terms of service. The company says a CyberTip it filed ultimately reached Bentonville police and preceded the man's arrest, while related lawsuits against xAI continue in Arkansas and beyond.
