• Heat, Drought conditions force Conway into Phase 2 water restrictions (thv11.com) — Conway residents are now under Phase 2 water restrictions as low levels at Brewer Lake push Conway Corp to tighten citywide usage rules. Lawn watering is limited to specific days by address, splash pads without recycling must close, and violators could face fines or shutoffs. Officials urge conservation while hoping for enough rain to restore the water supply.
   

• High speed chase ends with arrest in Morrilton (kvom.com) — A high-speed pursuit that started in Conway on I‑40 ended with a crash and foot chase near Morrilton, leading to the arrest of a 20‑year‑old Conway man. Conway Police say the chase followed an investigation at the Village Apartments, and a 14‑year‑old runaway girl in the vehicle was safely reunited with her family. The driver now faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.
