Gentry Schools break ground on multi-purpose arena, middle school expansion (eagleobserver.com) — Gentry families will soon see a new multi-purpose Pioneer Arena and a middle school expansion that doubles as a FEMA-rated storm shelter, thanks to last year’s millage restoration. Construction is underway on the 46,000-square-foot arena and additional classrooms, with district leaders emphasizing improved safety, learning space, and community use over the next 18 months.

Benton County marriage licenses issued April 30 (arkansasonline.com) — Several Gentry residents are among the couples who recently applied for marriage licenses in Benton County, including pairs where one or both partners list Gentry as home. The clerk’s report covers applications filed between April 30 and May 6 from communities across the county.

Pioneers defeat Lions to win softball regional (eagleobserver.com) — Gentry High’s softball Pioneers just captured the Class 4A Region 1 championship, earning a No. 1 seed in this week’s state tournament. After a late-season slump, the team surged past Pea Ridge and rival Gravette behind timely hitting and a complete game from pitcher Callie Jordan.
