• UACCB Announces Spring 2026 Chancellor's and Provost's Lists in Batesville Arkansas (arkansasradio.com) — A Horseshoe Bend student, Angelena Marie Johnson, earned a perfect 4.0 GPA and made the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville Chancellor’s List for Spring 2026. The college also announced dozens of other students from nearby towns on its Chancellor’s and Provost’s Lists, highlighting strong academic achievement across the region. 
• Obituary: Alford (Al) Martin (whiterivernow.com) — A Celebration of Life for Alford (Al) Martin will be held at Crown Lake in Horseshoe Bend on Saturday, June 20, offering local friends and family a chance to gather and remember him. Martin, an Evening Shade resident and longtime truck driver and mechanic, is survived by his wife, children, sister, and many grandchildren.
