Arkansas Baptist College expands student housing into former La Quinta in downtown Little Rock (thv11.com) — A former La Quinta Inn & Suites on South Broadway in downtown Little Rock is being converted into student housing for Arkansas Baptist College after a $7.8 million purchase. The 12‑story, 261‑room building will significantly expand housing options, support recruitment and retention, and add new student activity and investment to the Broadway corridor and downtown Little Rock.

Little Rock to apply for $1 million state grant for 30 Crossing park project (arkansasonline.com) — Little Rock's Board of Directors just cleared the way to seek a $1 million state grant to help build the new 30 Crossing urban park downtown, while also funding new fire breathing equipment and police ballistic vests. Directors also approved a temporary entertainment district at Breckenridge Village this fall and renewed key appointments to the Port Authority and Water Reclamation Commission.
