• Another DWI crash hits Maumelle business days after deadly Waffle House crash (kark.com) — Maumelle readers should know that a suspected intoxicated driver crashed into Razorback Pizza on Highway 365 Wednesday afternoon, just days after a deadly DWI crash at the nearby Waffle House. No one inside the restaurant was hurt, but police call two business-related DWI crashes in three days unacceptable and are urging residents to use sober rides home.

• Local baker cooks up a sweet idea to cover funeral expenses for Waffle House employee (arktimes.com) — In the wake of the deadly crash at the Maumelle Waffle House, a Central Arkansas baker is selling special bread puddings to help cover funeral expenses for employee Tracy Long of Conway. The Muffin Man, one of Long's favorite bakers, hopes turning her beloved dessert into a fundraiser will support the family as the accused driver faces multiple DWI-related charges.
