Summerford Flemister, a devoted Christian, longtime Monticello Public School District employee, and active member of Enon Baptist Church. Her funeral was held Tuesday at Enon in Monticello, and her legacy of faith, service, and love lives on through her husband, extended family, church community, and many local friends whose lives she touched.
   

• UAM Trap Shooting Team Caps Historic First Season With National Top-Ten Finish (deltaplexnews.com) — Students connected to the University of Arkansas at Monticello just wrapped a standout first season for the new UAM Trap Shooting team, finishing ninth nationally at the SCTP championship. With a Monticello student among the competitors, the co-ed squad overcame scheduling and logistical hurdles, qualified at regionals, and now hopes its national success will attract more shooters and grow opportunities across UAM’s campuses.
