University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff Secures More than $512,000 to Support Graduate Apprenticeships and Faculty Research (deltaplexnews.com) — New federal funding is bringing more than $512,000 to the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, expanding paid graduate apprenticeships and faculty research projects that directly benefit local students. The one-year award builds on UAPB’s existing G-STEM grant, with a special focus on machine learning and STEM fields that support workforce development in Pine Bluff and across Arkansas. 
2. Latest report shows Arkansas gas prices dropping even as crude oil prices stay high (kark.com) — Pine Bluff drivers are now paying about $3.94 per gallon for regular gas, slightly above the Arkansas state average of $3.88, according to AAA’s latest report. While prices have dipped about five cents in a week, they remain far higher than last year, as high crude oil costs and global instability keep significant pressure on local wallets.
3. White Hall looking to reestablish run game at Magnolia (pbcommercial.com) — White Hall’s football team, fresh off a bruising loss to Pine Bluff, is scrambling to revive its running game before facing Magnolia on Friday night. Coach Jason Mitchell says injuries and Pine Bluff’s physical play have stalled the offense, but returning linemen could help as the Bulldogs fight to stay alive in the 5A-South playoff race.
4. FAMU Homecoming Concert features star-studded lineup of Gunna, Summer Walker and more (wctv.tv) — Florida A&M’s homecoming weekend will spotlight Pine Bluff when the Rattlers host the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Saturday’s big game at Bragg Memorial Stadium. While most festivities are in Tallahassee, the matchup puts UAPB and its fans on a national stage, tying Pine Bluff into one of the country’s more high-profile HBCU homecoming celebrations.
