• Freeman Health officially acquires four Northwest Arkansas hospitals (nwahomepage.com) — Siloam Springs’ hospital is now part of Freeman Health System after the company acquired Northwest Health’s four Northwest Arkansas locations. Leadership says patients should see the same local services for now, but with a larger regional network behind the hospital to support growth and access to care.
   

• Benton County restaurant inspections: Black growth on a wall; thick layer of ice on the floor of walk-in freezer (nwaonline.com) — Recent Benton County health inspections found several issues at Siloam Springs restaurants, including temperature problems at Whataburger and The Park House, sanitation and equipment concerns at Waffle House, and multiple violations at IHOP such as improper handwashing and heavy ice buildup in the walk-in freezer. A local snow cone stand, Blockbustbrrr, earned a clean report with no violations.
