Woman accused of fraudulently billing Medicaid for services to her own child (kait8.com) — A West Memphis woman has been charged with Medicaid fraud after state investigators alleged she improperly billed nearly $19,000 for personal care services provided to her own child, which program rules forbid. The Arkansas Attorney General’s office says such cases will be pursued to protect Medicaid resources for vulnerable residents statewide.
   

2. Two West Memphis Police Officers Decertified During State CLEST Hearing (deltaplexnews.com) — State regulators have stripped two former West Memphis police officers of their law-enforcement certification after hearings this week in Little Rock, a move that affects whether they can work in policing again. Two other former West Memphis officers saw their cases delayed or denied, as the state commission continues reviewing local conduct standards.

Entergy chief says ‘new nuclear' could come to Arkansas (pbcommercial.com) — Entergy Arkansas says the planned Google data center in West Memphis, along with another in Little Rock, is expected to save customers about $1.7 billion while boosting grid reliability. Company leaders also discussed pursuing license extensions for existing nuclear plants and exploring new nuclear options to meet surging power demand from data centers and industry statewide.
   

4. $2M Cash-Only Bond Given to Suspect in Fatal Shooting in Jonesboro (jonesbororightnow.com) — A 19-year-old man from West Memphis has been ordered held on a $2 million cash-only bond after being charged in a deadly shooting in Jonesboro. He faces first-degree murder and firearm charges, with a GPS monitor required if he’s ever released before trial, and a possible life sentence if convicted.
