Motorcyclist Killed In Crittenden County Crash On I-40 (neareport.com) — A motorcyclist from New Jersey was killed on October 18 when his Harley-Davidson struck the trailer of a slowing commercial truck on eastbound I-40 near West Memphis. Arkansas State Police say traffic congestion preceded the crash, and conditions were clear and dry, with the investigation still in a preliminary stage.
   

2. Google makes big power deal with Entergy Arkansas (okenergytoday.com) — Google is dramatically expanding its West Memphis data center through a $600 million agreement with Entergy Arkansas that will fund new solar, battery storage, and grid upgrades at no extra cost to regular customers. Company leaders say the project will bring billions in savings, support local schools and energy affordability, and further cement West Memphis as a growing tech and industrial hub.
   

3. Scammers impersonating officers, demanding bond money, Arkansas police say (fox13memphis.com) — West Memphis residents are being warned about scammers spoofing the police department’s phone number and demanding bond money through Cash App and similar apps. Police stress they will not request payments this way and urge anyone receiving such calls to hang up and verify directly using the department’s official phone number.
   

4. Memphis woman on the run for grandmother's death in Montana (wreg.com) — A Memphis man believes his niece, wanted in Montana for her grandmother’s death, may be hiding with relatives in Memphis or West Memphis. Authorities say the 83-year-old victim suffered severe neglect before dying in a Montana hospital. Anyone with information is urged to contact Montana officials or Memphis CrimeStoppers.
