19 Of America’s 100 Best Restaurants Are In CA, According To This List — See Where

California dominated OpenTable’s Top 100 Restaurants in America for 2026, with 19 eateries — more than any other state — featured on the list, the company announced Wednesday.

This year’s list spanned 21 states plus Washington, D.C., and was generated from over 11 million reviews as well as other dining metrics.

“Diners have no shortage of places they can turn to for dining inspiration, but none quite like our Top 100, which casts a wide net across the country and reflects the restaurants Americans are truly loving,” OpenTable Chief Operating Officer Amy Wei said in a news release.

“Our 2027 Dining Trends Report found 68% of Americans expect to visit restaurants the same or more often – and that many are finding new reasons to dine out – we hope this list inspires every occasion, from holiday celebrations to just because.”

To determine the list, OpenTable relied on reviews and metrics from Sept. 1, 2025, to Aug. 31, 2026, including diner ratings, percentage of five-star reviews, percentage of reservations made in advance, and more.

“California claims the largest share: With 19 honorees, California leads the list, spanning destinations from Palm Springs to San Francisco,” according to the news release.

“Highlights include Bar Cecil in Palm Springs, Callie Restaurant in San Diego and Providence in Los Angeles.”

• Providence, Los Angeles
