5 Dead, 2 Hospitalized In CA Crash: Report

Five people died on Saturday morning in a crash that may have involved alcohol, police said.

FRESNO, CA — Police said Alcohol may have been a contributing factor in a crash that killed five people in Fresno Saturday morning, according to media reports.

The driver of a Hyundai crossed over double yellow lines and struck a northbound Honda Accord, Lt. J. Castaneda with the California Highway Patrol told CNN.

Four occupants of the Hyundai were killed and another person in the Honda, Castaneda told CNN.

"The use of alcohol is believed to have been a factor in this collision on the part of the Hyundai driver," a report from the CHP said.
