Residents calling 911 to alert police at first believed there was an active shooter due to the number of shots that were fired, the outlet reported.
Upon arrival at the scene, deputies noticed people in the doorway of the home, according to the outlet.
Deputies found three more people inside the home, including a man who was alive but died at a local hospital, Boudreauz told CBS.
Investigators believe the shooting was not random, and that there is a connection to gangs, the outlet reported. They are searching for at least two suspects, according to the outlet.
A search warrant for drugs was executed at this home one week ago, the outlet reported.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at (559) 733-6218. They can remain anonymous by calling or texting (559) 725-4194, or through email at tcso@tipnow.com.
