CA City Named Nation's Toughest To Navigate, 4 Golden State Cities Make Dubious List
Four Southern California cities were ranked among the toughest to navigate, according to a new report.
CALIFORNIA, CA — Four California cities were ranked among the world's most difficult to navigate, per a new report released by cell-service provider Holafly, and one Golden State was the nation's most difficult to get around thanks to traffic, pollution and crime.
The report tracked 150 cities globally, including 69 from the United States and 13 from California.
The rank for each city were calculated by assessing mobility variables related to traffic, air quality, crime, walkability, public transit, cellular service and online searches for directions.

According to Holafly, Los Angeles ranks as the world's third-trickiest city to get around, and the worst nationwide.
L.A.'s high score was attributed to 88 extra hours lost to traffic — the 20th highest globally — plus, the typical 57-minute commute ranked second-longest among the 150 graded cities.

The city also had the 42nd-worst air quality and ranked 49th in crime, which contributed to the city's high score.
Following Los Angeles, Riverside ranked the 11th trickiest cities to navigate, with 34 hours of traffic-related delay — the 100th highest globally.
Riverside also ranked 39th worst for air quality and No. 99 for crime.
The 19th-hardest-to-get-around globally was Santa Ana in Orange County, which also ranked No. 7 in the U.S. in terms of difficulty.
Santa Ana had a reported 81 hours of traffic-related delays, with an average 43-minute commute.
The air quality in Santa Ana was the 64th worst, and crime was the 47th highest.
Also in Orange County, Anaheim was the No. 20 most challenging city to get around, and the 8th-worst in the U.S.
Anaheim residents average at about 33-hours of traffic-related delay, No. 104 globally. It also had a reported 42-minute commute and ranked No. 47 for air quality and No. 59 for crime.
