California Wildfires: 10 Photos Of What 'Pure Devastation' Looks Like
"Pure devastation," was how fire officials described what's happening in California.
Northern California is in the midst of one of the worst wildfires on record. At least 21 people have been killed — and more deaths are expected. At least 180 were hurt and hundreds of missing persons reports have been filed.
An analysis from the risk assessment firm CoreLogicMore found that more than 172,000 homes are at risk in Napa and Sonoma Counties and rebuilding costs could be in excess of $65 billion.
Gov. Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency in Sonoma, Napa and Yuba counties Monday and President Donald Trump made a major disaster declaration Tuesday.

The blazes have scorched tens of thousands of acres in Napa, Sonoma, Solano, Yuba, Butte, Nevada, Calaveras and Mendocino counties. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office shared a terrifying video showing the walls of flames from one of the deadly fires as a deputy responded to help Sonoma County residents.
