Walls Of Flame: Terrifying Video Shows California Deputy Driving Through Inferno
A deputy captured the harrowing video as he responded to help Sonoma County residents.

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — It is a horrific view that is all too familiar for firefighters and law enforcement during wildfire season. This terrifying video shared by the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office shows the walls of flames from one of the deadly fires raging in Northern California as a deputy responded to help Sonoma County residents.
The video, which was taken in the area of Franz Valley Road, has been viewed more than 33,000 times and has been shared 1,299 times since it was posted on early Wednesday morning.
Dispatch can be heard giving a fire update and saying, “He is unaware of which way the fire is going; they have so many fires they can’t really see at this point and they also cannot get through to Cal Fire.”

The catastrophic wildfires raging in Northern California have left at least 17 people dead and many people injured in a wake of what fire officials are calling "pure devastation" since they sparked late Sunday night. The massive fires have been fueled by dry weather and howling winds, devastating the region and charring tens of thousands of acres. The fires continued to burn Wednesday in Napa, Sonoma, Solano, Yuba, Butte, Nevada, Calaveras and Mendocino counties.
