These 4 CA Spots Ranked Among America's Top 10 Roadside Attractions
The four California attractions on the list represent a cross-section of beauty and eccentricity.
Four of America’s 10 most popular roadside attractions are in California, according to a recent ranking.
The analysis by Betway Casino looked at over 80 of the most well-known roadside spots across the country, ranking them based on metrics including TripAdvisor review volume and ratings, Instagram posts and worldwide Google searches.
The top three attractions were Gatorland in Orlando at No. 1, Sun Studio in Memphis at No. 2 and House on the Rock in Spring Green, Wisconsin, at No. 3, but slots five through eight all went to Golden State spots.

At No. 5 is the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, known for its maze-like layout and eccentric design.
Glass Beach in Fort Bragg is sixth, with its colorful sea glass shoreline, and Salvation Mountain in Imperial County is seventh, a social media hotspot featuring a vivid folk art installation.

At No. 8 is the iconic Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo, with its pink exterior and themed interiors.
“California stands out as a hotspot for quirky roadside attractions, with four destinations placing inside the overall top 10, more than any other state in the ranking,” according to a news release about the analysis.
