Winter Storms Blast Through California To Northern Plains: Photos
See photo updates of the severe winter storms that have already left hundreds of thousands of California residents without power.

ACROSS AMERICA — Hundreds of thousands of people across California and through the northern plains are without power as severe winter storms create dangerous conditions for locals.
For the first time since 1989 the National Weather Service issued a blizzard warning through Saturday for Southern California mountains. In addition, forecasters predict multiple rounds of snowfall to hit the Sierra Nevada region as well. All of this abundance of moisture in the air puts those areas at risk of flash flooding through Saturday as well.
Areas up north that are already accustomed to harsh winter weather can potentially face severe snowfall, with forecasters predicting 18 inches in parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin.
