• The Bankruptcy That Could Kill 800 Dogs (artvoice.com) — Hundreds of rescued animals at a sanctuary on a ridge above Acton could be at risk if a federal bankruptcy judge in Los Angeles approves a plan to liquidate millions from the facility’s operating reserves on June 2. Sanctuary leaders argue this money keeps 1,500 animals fed, staffed, and medically cared for, and warn that deep cuts could eventually force unadoptable dogs and other animals toward overcrowded kill shelters.
