17th Annual YMCA National Day of Prayer Breakfast Set for May 5

Pat Coulter, a deacon at Holy Cross Parish, is the keynote speaker for the Southeast Ventura County YMCA's National Day of Prayer Breakfast.

Pat Coulter, a deacon at Holy Cross Parish in Moorpark, is the keynote speaker for the Southeast Ventura County YMCA's 17th Annual National Day of Prayer Breakfast, Thursday, May 5. Breakfast will be served at 7:00 a.m. with the program running from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at CLU’s Gilbert Sports Center (60 W Olsen Rd, Thousand Oaks). The theme for the morning is "Wake Up America.”

“This is a day where people of all faiths come together to pray for our country as one,” says Janice Wise, development director at the Southeast Ventura County YMCA, which includes branches in Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Simi Valley and Westlake Village. “It’s an honor to bring together diverse faiths during this very uplifting morning.”

Spiritual and community leaders will participate in the event. Providing invocators will be Thousand Oaks City Councilmember Andy Fox, Lindsay Leimbach, director of Centered Moment, Pastor Mark McIlraith with Moorpark Presbyterian Church and Bishop Garry Pace with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Newbury Park Stake.

Mary Olson, general manager at KCLU-FM, will be the master of ceremonies and the 50-member La Reina Girls Choir will perform.
