Healthcare for Homeless Animals (HHA) and the Agoura Animal Shelter with the help of Cindy and Levi Morrow present a Cat Café. The event will take place on the grounds of the shelter on Sunday, May 22 from 10 am to 1 pm. We will be highlighting our cat program including a chance to visit with the free roaming cats in the Habikat, as well as giving tours of the shelter, and providing activities for kids. Volunteers will be available to assist with finding a potential new best fur friend and to answer questions about the Agoura Animal Shelter volunteer program. Beverages and snacks will be offered for a donation benefitting HHA.
Levi, who is in 6th grade and is a big animal lover, got the idea of a cat café after visiting Japan where there are free roaming cats who socialize with the customers patronizing the Cafes. He and his family have adopted many of their pets from the Agoura Shelter and he wanted to do something to give back to the animals.
Healthcare for Homeless Animals is a community based 501©3 non-profit run by volunteers dedicated to funding medical care for animals at the Agoura Animal Shelter. HHA prevents euthanasia by intervening with the much-medical treatment and fostering, resulting in adoptions into loving homes.
