A Reyes Adobe Days Rap at City Council Meeting
Two Reyes Adobe Days' coordinators broke into a rap production during Wednesday night's City Council meeting.
There may not be a section of Robert's Rules of Order that governs presentations in song-and-dance format, but that didn't stop Nick Newkirk, recreation supervisor, and Jacob Broyles, recreation coordintor, from breaking out into a re-tooled version of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's rap during Wednsday night's City Council meeting. The production was put on as a means of explaining the history of Reyes Adobe Days.
Councilmembers chuckled and waved their cell phones in the air in clear appreciation for the fun relief from the usual, staid proceedings.
A running joke continued throughout the meeting, as subsequent presenters "apologized" for the fact that they didn't have a rap to accompany their presentations.
