Agoura Hills Now Taking Applications for Cultural Arts Council

Residents interested in the arts who have related educational or career experience are invited to serve on the city's arts council.

The city of Agoura Hills is taking applications from individuals interested in serving on the city’s Cultural Arts Council (CAC). Applicants should have a background or interest in the arts which can bring educational and/or career experience to the council and its current programs as well as develop new objectives. Agoura Hills residents will receive priority consideration to serve on the council but anyone from the Conejo Valley is invited to apply.

CAC works with the City Council and community members on developing the city’s cultural arts public programs and opportunities within the greater Agoura Hills community and region. Formed in 2011, the CAC has branded a strong 91301 cultural arts identity, launched the website 91301.org, and developed public programs and events spotlighting local talent in the art, film and literary industries. Among its popular programs are art exhibitions featuring local artists, the Film 91301 series, One City One Book, Art in Public Places, history programs, and promoting teens in the arts. In addition, CAC is instrumental in creating cultural networking and educational opportunities within the community.

“We hope to find enthusiastic individuals to join the council and embrace its mission in developing programs that represent our vibrant and growing art-focused community and connecting professional artists, the entertainment industry, and organizations with our schools and residents,” said Agoura Hills Cultural Event Coordinator Jaime Goldstein.
