Agoura Hills Podcast Wins Award From California PIO Association
Agoura Hills' podcast is earning statewide recognition.

AGOURA HILLS, CA — The monthly podcast produced by the city has been honored with an award by the California Association of Public Information Officials.
"The Good Life Agoura Hills" podcast earned an Award of Distinction for digital communications at the CAPIO conference earlier this month.
The podcast, launched last year, is hosted by Assistant City Manager Ramiro Adeva. Each month Adeva speaks with guests about city projects and programs and answers questions submitted by listeners.

The April episode featured Assemblywoman Jacqui Irwin.
This isn't the first time the city's podcast has been recognized. In March, the League of California Cities spotlighted the program in a deep-dive article.

"The Good Life Agoura Hills podcast is a sterling example of creative, effective communications by a forward-thinking municipality,” David Pedersen, the general manager for the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District said in the article. “The entire team at the city of Agoura Hills should be commended for creating a series of informative podcasts that address issues of interest to the community in a fun, easy-going way. This is the future of communications for public agencies and a model for the rest of us to follow."
