
The Center4SpecialNeeds, a parent founded non-profit organization, is offering two additional educational workshops to parents of youth with special needs, this time in collaboration with Passageway School’s First Open House.
Saturday, June 1, 2013, marks the first Open House at Passageway School. Passageway is a non-public school serving elementary through post-secondary students with special education needs. Passageway School is inviting parents and professionals to come meet their staff, tour the school and hear success stories from Passageway parents. Those in attendance will learn more about: What Passageway is, who Passageway serves and what Passageway has to offer.

In connection with the Passageway Open House, the Center4SpecialNeeds is offering two important workshops for special education parents. Fran Arner-Costello of VC-SELPA will be speaking on Positive Behavioral Supports and Dr. Katie Greeley on Natural Treatment Options for Autism Spectrum, ADHD learning disorders and special needs. These free public workshops are offered in keeping with the Center4SpecialNeeds mission to provide the family supports necessary so that children with special needs can thrive.
The Open House and Educational Workshops will be held from 8:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Passageway School, 1153 Lawrence Drive, Newbury Park.

James Goldstein, administrator at Passageway School says “We our opening our doors, experience and hearts to the special needs community because every child deserves an education. It’s important that special needs families know that there are high quality educational options for their children and that Passageway is one of those local options.”
