Sitcom Actor Sentenced To Prison For 'Savage' Attack Of Girlfriend: Judge
The actor was convicted of attempted murder and other charges in the near-fatal 2024 stabbing
LOS ANGELES, CA — Actor Nick Pasqual, who appeared in an episode of "How I Met Your Mother" and other TV shows, was sentenced Tuesday to 32 years to life in prison for the attempted murder of his former girlfriend.
Pasqual, 36, was sentenced at a jury last month found him guilty of attempted murder, forcible rape, first-degree burglary, domestic violence-related charges and special allegations that he inflicted great bodily injury during an act of domestic violence, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
The charges stem from Pasqual's violent 2024 attack of his girlfriend at the time, makeup artist Allie Shehorn.

Pasqual broke into Shehorn's Sunland home around 4:30 a.m. on May 23, 2024, and stabbed her multiple times before fleeing California. He was later arrested at a border checkpoint in Texas while attempting to leave the state, prosecutors said.
Shehorn, who testified during the trial, previously obtained a restraining order against Pasqual and told jurors the relationship had become abusive, according to ABC7.

During testimony, she described an earlier confrontation in which Pasqual punched through a door after an argument and chased her as she sought safety inside her home.
The attack left Shehorn critically injured. She underwent emergency surgery and spent several days in intensive care recovering from wounds to her neck, arms and abdomen, according to prosecutors.
Shehorn told the court she used a belt as a makeshift tourniquet to stop the bleeding from her neck while waiting for first responders to arrive, the California Post reported.
Before sentencing Tuesday, Shehorn addressed the court and spoke about her recovery, telling Pasqual she now views her scars as symbols of survival rather than shame, the Post.
Judge Hayden Zackey described the attack as "savage" and condemned Pasqual's conduct during sentencing, the outlet reported.
Pasqual briefly addressed the court before sentence was imposed, saying he was grateful Shehorn survived and that he remained focused on sobriety and remorse, according to the Post.
Shehorn later told the California Post that she did not believe Pasqual's statements.
Pasqual appeared in several television productions during his acting career, including an episode of "How I Met Your Mother."
