Boy Scout Troop 127 Celebrates 50 Years of Mother's Day Breakfasts
1963 seems very long ago. 50 years! Back then a first class stamp cost 5 cents. A gallon of gasoline cost 30 cents. The Beatles had their first hit (I Want To Hold Your Hand). Los Angeles had a professional football team (the Rams). And an Agoura Hills Boy Scout Troop served its first Mother’s Day pancake breakfast at Malibou Lake Lodge.
How many things still exist from 50 years ago? Los Angeles has no professional football team. The Beatles are long gone. But a 50-year tradition just keeps rolling along. Celebrate this incredible milestone with Boy Scout Troop 127 at this year’s breakfast on Sunday, May 12th anytime between 8:30am and 12:30pm at Malibou Lake Lodge on Lake Vista Drive in Malibou Lake. The all-you-can-eat pancakes, eggs, ham and fruit costs only $5 per person. Mothers are treated like royalty. And every ticket is eligible to win one of over 100 donated door prizes. Plus, you can purchase opportunity drawing tickets to win one of the many themed baskets the boys and parents have put together.
Treat your entire family! The Troop fathers cook and the scouts serve. The boys, ages 11 to 18, are polite, attentive, and very handsome in their uniforms.

Help support a tradition that is thriving in our town due to the hard work of the Troop's members and parents, as well as the generosity of local merchants and community members. Spend a lovely morning at beautiful Malibou Lake! I’ve been attending this breakfast as part of my own Mother’s Day celebration since 2003 when my son, Justin, joined this Troop (who is now a Junior at Northern Arizona University). Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.
