Blog Post: Conejo Valley Restaurant Week's Launch Party

More than 300 local residents bundled up and joined in the fun for The Launch Party to kick off Conejo Valley Restaurant Week and are excited to eat out next week!

More than 300 guests flooded the front lawn at The Lakes at Thousand Oaks tonight for the first-ever Launch Party to kick off the second annual Conejo Valley Restaurant Week festivities.

Delicious food tastings were provided by Claim Jumper, California Pizza Kitchen, Sabor Cocina Mexicana, Fresh Brothers, Champagne French Bakery Cafe and Marmalade Cafe. Sabor Cocina's owner and executive chef, Leticia Hansen, even took the stage to host a cooking demonstration, showing off her unmatched ceviche recipes and a mouth-watering white sangria.

Despite brisk temperatures, spirits were high, wine was flowing thanks to J.Hamilton Wines and Cantara Cellars, and feet were tapping to Luis Villegas' live Spanish guitar performance.

Fun giveaways from ConejoDeals.com, MOGL and The Lakes at Thousand Oaks were icing on the cake for such a fun evening of food, wine and friends!

All in all, The Launch Party proved a terrific way to ramp up community excitement for Sunday's start to the five-day culinary celebration we have come to know and love: Conejo Valley Restaurant Week.

Guests were reminded to visit the Restaurant Week website (www.ConejoValleyRestaurantWeek.com) to view all 40 restaurants on board, their amazing prix-fixe three-course dinner menus and to make their reservations soon. With these indulgent dinners priced at just $20 or $30 each, we can't imagine why anyone would want to pass up this one-of-a-kind dine out opportunity!

I've already made my first CVRW reservation for an Agoura Hills favorite, Cafe 14 on Tuesday! I'm finally going to try that Banana Bread Pudding everyone's raving about. Where are you planning to dine out? Don't forget to RSVP.
