Blog Post: Music Appreciation in Agoura Hills

The appreciation of art and music is, in effect, the appreciation of life itself.

One goes hand in hand with the other. It would be nearly impossible to separate them. Every heart has a beat and, likewise, every song has a beat. Our very life has a certain rhythm. In music it can be a pattern of beats in the music. In poetry it can be the pattern formed by the accent or stressing of certain words. In art it can be a pattern or brush stroke that suggests movement.                     

I believe that Music and Art are essential elements in everyone’s life. Just imagine our world without them. I have been so blessed to have had the opportunity to play music for most of my adult life and this year I am celebrating 40 years in the music business.

The economic hardships of the last few years have certainly taken their toll on music programs and private instruction. However, I truly believe that a musical education is one of the best investments that you can make in your child’s future. Whether your child decides to be a professional musician or a doctor or a lawyer, the gift of music will benefit them for the rest of their life.
