Scottish Old Timer

When you are out and about on vacation, step out of your shell and talk to strangers.  I was in Edinburgh, Scotland last week for their New Years Hogmany Festival and saw this old man standing on the street asking for money.  Most people just ignored the guy and kept walking.  Since I am constantly in search of photographic inspiration, and the curent project I am working on is centered around international portraiture, displying different customs and cultures is key.  Turns out he was collecting money for a local children's hospital, and had raised a significant amount, enough to be featured on the cover of the Edinburgh newspaper.
