Storm -Proof Snacking

to any one affected by sandy

 Sandy is roaring through and most likely leaving us in the dark (literally!) Here are a few ideas for healthy snacks that do not require electricity to prepare and are perfectly suited to enjoy by candlelight...
1. A p...iece of Fresh Fruit with natural Peanut Butter
2. A 100% Juice Fruit Cup with a small handful of Unsalted Nuts
3. Whole grain crackers with Tuna (you can use lemon and olive oil or some low-fat dressing to prepare the tuna)
4. 1 Cup of low-cal high fiber cold cereal like Kashi Whole Wheat Biscuits
*Remember the equation to healthy snacking = complex carbohydrate + protein + fiber + portion control!
