Chester Baby Is Looking For The Right Home

Chester Baby is a 5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix that came into the shelter as a stray. He was adopted, but that turned out to be unsuccessful. More about that later. When he arrived he was observed to be favoring his front leg. He was taken to private vet who determined that it was an old injury that caused a bit of arthritis in his elbow. He doesn’t seem to be in discomfort although every now and again he does favor that leg, but that doesn’t slow him down at all. Here are some things you should know about Chester Baby: • He is a friendly and happy boy. • He enjoys his walks and is good on leash. • He loves playing with soft toys and tennis balls. • He loves being around people and is quite affectionate. • He is well suited to being the only pet in the household. • He sits on command. • He takes treats well. A well-meaning family adopted him, but Chester Baby being a herding dog chased and frightened the free roaming animals and the family was forced to return him to the shelter. Because of this instinct he should be the only pet in the household. His good nature will endear him to any family. He especially likes to throw himself on his back for a good old belly rub. If you are looking for a life-long companion, a partner in hiking or an exercise buddy, he might be your perfect choice, but if you don’t have more than a few hours a day and/or plan on leaving him in the backyard alone, he won’t be a good match. To choose Chester Baby, request ID A4543857. The Agoura Shelter is at 29525 Agoura Road, Agoura Hills. Occasionally pets have already been adopted.
