Enrollment Open For Yerba Buena Kindergarten, Transitional Kinder
The kindergarten students have their own playground, building, lunch and recess time, which gives them a smaller space to get comfortable.

AGOURA HILLS, CA – Yerba Buena Elementary School has opened registration and enrollment for their transitional kinder (TK) and kindergarten programs. Yerba Buena sits between two mountain ranges and an ancient oak tree right off of Reyes Adobe and Thousand Oaks Boulevard; it's the most recently built and secluded elementary school in the district, the press release said.
The kindergarten and TK teachers have received excellent reviews from parents and students, who feel that their children have been set up for success, both academically and socially, according to the press release. One parent said that they loved their TK teacher, because she always had a smile on her face and taught their son how to read.
The kindergarten students have their own playground, building, lunch and recess time, which gives them a smaller space get comfortable within the larger elementary school environment, according to the press release. Each kindergarten and TK student is paired with an older “study buddy” from grade school who will be a friendly face on campus. Teachers will meet students at the front of the school to help ease the pick-ups and drop-offs.

The school has bridged education, arts, and technology, known to moist as "YB B.E.A.T." Yerba Buena has modeled the district's "student 360" approach to education, focusing on six main values – positive mindset, persistence and grit, empathy and understanding, autonomy and independence, collaborative communities, and mindfulness and thoughtfulness. When these core values are incorporated into all aspects of the curriculum, they aim to prepare each student for a quality future, according to the press release.
Yerba Buena has won a variety of awards, including: the 2015 National Blue Ribbon Award, the 2017 CA Gold Ribbon Award, the 2018 ACSA Region 13 Elementary Principal of the Year, as well as various awards for being a green campus.

All students take dance, art and technology courses every week; the fundamental classes teach social responsibility along with critical thinking, according to the press release.
Yerba Buena is a new campus with teachers and students who share “Bobcat Pride," according to the school. Campus tours are available throughout the year. Times and dates may be found here.
