Los Robles Master Chorale and Los Robles Children's Choir welcome in spring with ajoint concert on Sunday, March 20 at 4:00 PM at Ascension Lutheran Church
in Thousand Oaks. Eternal Love will feature separate and combined performances by LRMC’s full chorale, the 26-voice Consort Singers, and LRCC’s Bel Canto and Amadeus Choirs.
Under the direction of LRMC Artistic Director Lesley Leighton, the combined choirs
will sing John Rutter’s lyrical Mass of the Children, with accomplished guest soloists, soprano Elissa Johnston and baritone Abdiel González. The Consort Singers will join with the children to sing Five Songs on the Texts of Hans Christian Andersen, composed by Leighton, who will conduct this world premiere performance of her work.
LRCC Artistic Director Donna Young will take the podium to conduct the children of
Bel Canto in Gabriel Fauré’s “Ave Maria” and Eric H. Thiman’s “Path to the Moon.” Amadeus Choir will perform “Jordan’s Angels” by Rollo Dilworth, as well as David L. Brunner’s “Hold Fast Your Dreams,” a piece the choir sang at the dedication of the new wing of Los Robles Hospital in 2007. The two children’s choirs will combine to sing “Dodi Li” by Nira Chen.

Both artistic directors will take part in a pre-concert conversation, which is free
to all concertgoers. Audience members are invited to meet the performers at a post-concert reception.

Eternal Love will be performed Sunday, March 20 at 4 PM at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1600 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. The pre-concert conversation will begin at 3 PM. Advance tickets are $22, $20 student/senior/group rate for 6 or more, and a special advance-purchase family package of $50 for 2 adults and 2 children ages 12 and under.
