Holiday Treasures - Los Robles Master Chorale

LOS ROBLES MASTER CHORALE PRESENTS ITS ANNUAL FAMILY HOLIDAY CONCERT

             Los Robles Master Chorale will ring in the yuletide season with Holiday Treasures, its annual family-oriented holiday concert. Featuring past and present favorites from the chorale’s repertoire, the special afternoon performance, under the direction of artistic director Lesley Leighton, will be Sunday, December 11 at Ascension Lutheran Church in Thousand Oaks.

            The concert will feature such seasonal choral classics as Roger Wagner’s The Christmas Story according to Saint Luke, Alfred Burt’s classic carols, contemporary songs by Eric William Barnum and Michael W. Smith, and sacred pieces by Felix Mendelssohn, Lloyd Pfautsch, Franz Biebl, and John Rutter.

            Agoura Hills-based film and television actor John D. LeMay will be the guest narrator for The Christmas Story according to Saint Luke. The Carillon Choir of Ascension Lutheran Church will accompany the chorale on a number of songs and perform solo handbell pieces as well. And the audience will be invited to sing along on some secular favorites of the season.

            All ticket holders are invited to attend a post-concert reception with the artists.

            Holiday Treasures will be performed Sunday, December 11, at 2 pm, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1600 E. Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks. Advance tickets are $22 adult, $15 senior/student, with group rates available. There is a special Family Ticket Package—$50 for two adults and two children (under 12).  On the day of the performance, tickets will be $25 adult, $15 senior/student, $50 family of four, and $10 student rush with valid student I.D.
