Kwanzaa

Kwanzaa is observed annually from Dec. 26 to Jan. 1 by millions of African-Americans. It is a time when families and friends unite to strengthen and encourage one another. Cal Lutheran’s annual one-day celebration will include the Kwanzaa ceremony performed by CLU students, African and African-American food, presentations by the NAACP Saturday School students, music, dancers, and vendors with arts and crafts. Everyone is welcome to come and learn about this special celebration.

Admission is free. Event will take place in the Soiland Recreation Center at California Lutheran University. Sponsored by Multicultural Programs and International Student Services, the NAACP Saturday School, the Afro-centric Committee of Ventura County, and the Black Student Union. For more information, call Multicultural Programs at 805-493-3489.
