New West Symphony's "Serenade to Music" Coming Up this Weekend

The New West Symphony presents its Masterpiece Series concert, "Serenade to Music" Saturday night, January 28 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.  The concert will feature concertmaster Danielle Belen making her Symphony solo debut in a dazzling performance of the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. Also on the program is Vaughan Williams' ethereal Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis (a string-lover's delight), and Brahms' powerful and passionate 4th Symphony, the final symphony he wrote.  Internationally-acclaimed conductor Steven Mercurio, who has conducted and collaborated worldwide with orchestras, opera and  music artists including Andrea Bocelli, Chick Corea and Sting, will lead the orchestra.

Enhance your musical experience with the Symphony's lively, 30-minute pre-concert discussion, Hear and Now Live!, that takes place one hour prior to curtain at each venue.

Tickets range in price from $25-98 and are available at www.newwestsymphony.org 24/7; by calling 866-766-8040 Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm; or at the box office. Student rush tickets are available for just $10 with current student ID at the box office 30 minutes prior to curtain.
