In “Suddenly Last Summer,” Tennessee Williams begs the eternal, existential question: What is the purpose of human existence? Is there an eternal creator who guides us toward some grand purpose or are we just specks of dust floating on turbulent waters without purpose? Williams thrusts a group of people into a primitive setting and lets the story unfold as the civilized group de-evolves to match its surroundings.
This production is the last in a two-show season of Tennessee Williams plays. Produced in cooperation with film students from the Multimedia Department, the play is experimental in nature. Nate Sinnott directs.
Event will take place in the Black Box Studio Theatre at California Lutheran University. Admission is $10, free with CLU I.D. Sponsored by Zip and Stephanie Wilson. For Information, call the Theatre Arts Department at 805-493-3415.
