WhatCanWe.org™ to Host Coffee, Canines and Cats* (All Types of Pets Welcome), A Fundraiser Photo Shoot in Newbury Park May 18

WhatCanWe.org and Jan Romero of Starbucks are hosting Coffee, Canines and Cats*, a photo shoot-recipe collection fundraiser on May 18 in Newbury park from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Coffee lovers and pet owners will pose for a professional photograph, donate their favorite recipe and some loving words about their pets, all of which will be included in WhatCanWe.org’s Kitchen Rescues: Recipes for People and Their Pets cookbook. WhatCanWe.org raises funds to help licensed, nonprofit animal rescues offset the financial hardships faced due to overwhelming veterinary expenses.

With every $100.00 donation participants will receive a photo, their recipe, and three lines of text which can be dedicated to a pet, cooking tips, or just words from the heart, all to be included on your own page in the Starbucks chapter.  Each recipe will include your purr-fect snap shot taken on May 18.  All those donating will receive a professional keepsake portrait of their session.  100% of all donations will go directly to helping licensed animal rescues.  Rachel Read Photography is donating its time and photographic expertise to capture fetching photographs.  In addition, Bob Ferber, a former veteran prosecutor of the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office and animal welfare expert, will be providing complementary dog handling as well as care and training tips for all participants.

Reservations are required.  Please call Jan Romero at 805-499-2058 or Bonnie Quintanilla at 818-681-5777.  Directions to the location will be provided when reservations are made. Complementary Starbucks internationally loved coffee and treats will be provided to all participants, courtesy of Jan Romero of Starbucks.

About WhatCanWe.org

WhatCanWe.org™ started in 2012 to raise awareness and funds for licensed, nonprofit animal rescues in order to help offset the financial hardships most currently endure due to overwhelming veterinary expenses.  Today, every 1.5 seconds a homeless animal’s life is terminated in a shelter.  Fortunately, there is an army of benevolent rescue organizations that are on the front lines battling every day in an effort to positively change these numbers.

WhatCanWe.org is determined to change this situation by raising awareness and funds to offset these costs, and ultimately, to create nonprofit teaching veterinary clinics that offer low or no-cost veterinary care to licensed, nonprofit rescues.  To make a donation or for more information, visit www.whatcanwe.org and click on our Contact Page, or like us on Facebook, www.facebook.com/WhatCanWe?.org
