Rachel Toll, a certified yoga instructor, will demonstrate the soothing Chair Yoga class she currently offers seniors and adults with limited mobility. Using a somatic style of yoga involving slow, controlled movement, Rachel intensifies body awareness and nurtures a gentle pain-free range of motion. Helping students understand their basic anatomy, she empowers them towards mindful, efficient movement and greater stability in their everyday lives. Most importantly, Rachel strives to create a nurturing environment with calm music, a gentle voice, insightful quotes and poetry. The class culminates with a guided visualization and deep relaxation.
