Georgia Wants To Play Ball At Your House

Georgia, a one-year-old pit bull came to the shelter as a stray.  She has a very unusual coat because her coloring is a light brown brindle and she is a real beauty.

She has an abundance of energy and being cooped up in a kennel has been hard on her. While she is on the grounds of the shelter the volunteers have been working with her and they say she is a very, very smart girl. She has quickly learned that she must keep all four paws on the floor before anything good comes her way.

She knows how to sit but her favorite thing is to fetch a ball, bring it back, drop it, and then sit while you throw another one. Then you get to do it again (and again and again). She has also been working on walking politely on a leash and is doing very well.

She will do best with a person who has lots of energy so she can join in running, biking, hiking and long walks.

When she first arrived she was not an easy dog to handle, but has calmed down and has become well socialized. However, she will need someone committed to continue her training. If needed, the volunteers will even put you in touch with one of the professional trainers that donate time at the shelter.
