See how Wyoming Wind & Utah Energy Storage will Power Los Angeles

New Energy Source for Los Angeles

Lincoln Bleveans of Burbank Water and Power will discuss a proposed 1200 MW (Megawatt) underground compressed air energy storage (CAES) facility in Utah. The project combines 3000 MW of proposed wind energy in Wyoming, a proposed 500 mile high-voltage transmission line from Wyoming to Utah, 300 MW of existing wind in Utah, and an existing 500 mile high-voltage transmission line from Utah to Southern California. The CAES facility would be installed in 300 MW phases, and together with renewables, could help replace an existing 1900 MW coal-fired generating station in Utah. Workshop includes wine tasting mixer, refreshments and parking. Get $15 Tickets at www.cleantechnologycouncil.org
