Seventh Annual "Turkey Burn Off" --November 28 at Simi YMCA
The Simi Valley Family YMCA is inviting the community to participate in its seventh annual free "Turkey Burn Off," Friday, November 28.

According to the Calorie Control Council, the average American consumes more than 4,500 calories on Thanksgiving Day—when you add in snacks, the main meal and desserts. To help Simi Valley residents get rid of the just-added calories, the Simi Valley Family YMCA is inviting the community to participate in its seventh annual free “Turkey Burn Off,” Friday, November 28.
Participants can take part in a series of 30-minute, group exercise classes from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with new classes starting every half hour. The classes include spinning, Pilates, yoga, muscle conditioning, cardio fusion and strength endurance. The classes are designed for all fitness levels.
“Skip shopping and join us the day after Thanksgiving to burn off all those extra calories,” says Stacey Huff, associate executive director at the Simi Y. “The morning will give you a good healthy start to the holiday season when we all tend to eat more than we should.”
