Sign-Ups for 5th Annual Miller YMCA July 4 Car Show Underway

Car buffs will have the opportunity to show off their vintage and restored automobiles at the fifth annual Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park’s Independence Day Classic Car Show. The car show is part of the Y’s free Independence Day Family Festival on Saturday, July 4 that includes a 5K and 10K run and walk, a kids’ triathlon, kids play area, parade, live entertainment and pancake breakfast. The festival and car show take place at the Miller Y (320 Via Las Brisas, Newbury Park).

The car show entry fee is $25 per car and $10 for each additional car ($30 and $15 for day-of-the-event entries). An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast is included with registration. Car placement begins at 6:00 a.m. with all cars in place by 7:00 a.m. Car club members who wish to place their cars together must arrive together.

The car show will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Awards will be given to winners of the “Top 10” and “Best in Show.”

Proceeds from the car show benefit the nonprofit Miller YMCA and its youth and adult programs.

“Our car show gets bigger each year,” says Katie Beck, executive director at the Miller Y. “It’s become a Newbury Park July 4 tradition.”
