The Truth About Fracking Conference

Sen. Fran Pavley, D-Agoura Hills, will deliver the keynote address at an event focusing on hydraulic fracturing and hosted by the nonprofit American Ground Water Trust.

Pavely will speak on "Sacramento Update on Fracking'' during the two-day conference at the Sheraton Agoura Hills Hotel, 30100 Agoura Road.

This event, (registration open to everyone) is a one-stop-shop to hear all sides of the “fracking” controversy about the technology that can access oil locked in California’s Monterey Shale.

Organized by the non-profit American Ground Water Trust, (www.agwt.org) this conference is an information-exchange event with opportunity for Q & A among the audience and the presenters.

Expert speakers from government and private sector, including lawyers, environmental specialists, oil & gas industry and water industry professionals, will provide a balance of useful, defendable and informed opinion.  The Conference will ask how the economic potential of Monterey Shale energy resources can be developed without impacting the long-term environmental sustainability of water supply sources and water-dependent ecosystems.
