"Each year the city selects one book as a centerpiece for promoting reading in our community," said Mayor Harry Schwarz. "This year we are featuring True Grit, a western novel by author Charles Portis."
The book was chosen to highlight Agoura Hills' “western feel," said Zack Miller, Recreatioin Manager. "In addition, many old western movies were filmed in our area, so we felt it was appropriate to highlight this selection," he said.
